Strength in Numbers: SPC Credit Union Adds to Executive Leadership Team

SPC Credit Union is thrilled to announce the expansion of its Executive Leadership Team via the addition of three new associate vice president positions, effective January 1, 2024. The Credit Union’s leadership is confident that the new AVPs bring a wealth of industry knowledge, extensive experience, and fresh perspectives to the table. Furthermore, SPC is grateful for the continued trust and support of its Members, who inspire and support the growth of SPC Credit Union. Without this trust and support, the Credit Union would not be so well-equipped to Empower, Impact, and Enrich the communities it serves.

As SPC’s Associate Vice President of Marketing & Community Development, Caitlin Vance will continue to play an integral role in directing the Credit Union’s brand awareness and community engagement efforts. In her six years at SPC, Caitlin has effectively redesigned the Credit Union’s approach to Marketing and Community Development. Most recently, she oversaw a comprehensive brand refresh, the result of which better conveys to the community who and how SPC serves its field of membership. Caitlin says of her next steps at SPC: “I am thrilled to join this team of service-minded leaders who actively embodies SPC’s values of Compassion, Connection, and Community.” As with the institution’s recent brand refresh, she notes that the future of SPC strikes a healthy balance of adaptive products and services grounded by the insight that comes from being heavily invested in a community for several decades. She says: “For more than 80 years, this Credit Union has had a positive impact on our communities, creating opportunities and changing Members’ lives for the better,” adding, “However, we’re not done yet. Our goal is to honor this legacy while developing and implementing innovative products and services to benefit our Members, while offering ourselves up as a resource to the greater community.

Amanda Boykin, who is transitioning from her role as Regional Sales Manager of SPC’s Darlington Branch into the Associate Vice President of Member Impact position, also brings 22 years of invaluable in-house experience and an innovative mindset to the Executive Leadership Team. Her redevelopment of SPC’s internal performance system, as well as her experience in strategic Member Service initiatives, makes her well-positioned to devote all of her energy towards ensuring that the Credit Union’s Members have a positive and engaging experience across all touchpoints, from initial contact to account management. Amanda says: “As AVP of Member Impact, I will continuously seek improvement in the areas of employee performance, rewards, sales, and job duty expectations to positively impact SPC Members and Employees. Although I will no longer serve Members directly, you can rest assured I am always working behind the scenes on your behalf.”

Finally, Tiffany Mixon, a 10-year veteran of SPC Credit Union, will step into the role of Associate Vice President of Member Support. As with the aforementioned Credit Union staff, Tiffany has served SPC’s Members in a number of capacities over the years, throughout which time she has demonstrated extraordinary leadership skills and a proven track record of results. Tiffany says of her new role: “As AVP of Member Support, I will continue to serve all of SPC’s Members both internally and externally with passion and empathy. I am committed to impacting and enriching the lives of each and every person with whom I come in contact and it is my dream that SPC becomes not just a financial institution, but a trusted resource center, within the communities that we serve.”

President and CEO Linda Weatherford says: “As SPC Credit Union continues to grow and develop, it is vital that our organizational leadership grows to meet the needs of our Members. While these faces are new to the leadership team, they are not new to SPC and our community. They have a strong commitment to SPC and will work with leadership to create new and exciting opportunities. We look forward to working alongside each of them to continue shaping and impacting the future of SPC Credit Union.”

Exercising Compassion, Connection, and Community will continue to be top priority for all levels of SPC Credit Union’s team. As the organization expands both its Executive Leadership Team and physical footprint, the communities it serves will continue to reap the benefits of a local financial institution that puts Members First. Always.
