June 1 was a BIG day for you. If you didn’t realize it at the time, it’s okay—we’ve got the lowdown on ALL of the new products, programs, and services that are sure to make your banking experience a whole lot better.  

“How’s that?” you ask. Well, SPC Member Rewards is an easy place to start. Think of it like an SPC loyalty/frequent flyer program—the more you bank with us, the more benefits you earn. You can automatically earn points by opening a new account, enrolling in online banking, downloading our mobile banking app, taking out (or closing!) a loan with us, using your SPC Credit and Debit Cards, opening special accounts (like Christmas and Vacation Club), and, well, doing pretty much ANYTHING that involves you and your money with SPC. Oh, did we mention: You even get points for sticking with us through the years! That’s right: Brownie points DO exist, and the rewards include waived fees, eliminated check holds, and share certificate percentage boosts! Then there’s our Enhanced Checking programs. But wait, there’s more! New tech means new ways you can bank with us—now, more conveniently than ever. Gone are the days of stumbling over your feet and laying on the gas pedal to make it to a branch before closing time to deposit a check, make a loan payment, or transfer money between your accounts. Now, you can use our ConnectExpress ITMs (Interactive Teller Machines) to handle all of these transactions (and others!) on your own time, no matter the time! Hoping to see one of our smiling faces? Be sure to swing by during business hours to take advantage of the Virtual Services Associate. Just press “Help” on the ITM screen any time during your transaction, and you’ll soon be on a live video call with a familiar face who can help you work through tricky transactions! Speaking of video calls...Did you know that your virtual banking options got a SERIOUS upgrade this summer? (Spoiler alert: You don’t have to be camera-ready to use them.) If you’re stuck at home, can’t get a ride, or just don’t seem to be able to build in time to visit a branch, our new Virtual Branch is just what you’ve been waiting for! Chat, call, or video call with someone in our Member Services, Card Services, or Lending Center without having to leave your seat (or sofa!). SPC’s Virtual Branch offers the perfect mix of digital convenience with personal interaction, making it easy for you to reset your online banking password, open a new account, order a new PIN number or debit card, ask a question about your loan, and so much more. Phew! (It’s okay to pause here and soak it all in.) Rounding out our rollout is the ConnectDesk: a digital banking desk that brings our Virtual Branch to life inside the brick-and-mortar branch at Sonoco. You know how you’ve always had to head up to the Main office or another branch to talk to someone about loan applications, CDs, debit and credit cards, or to open a new checking or savings account? Well, now you don’t have to! The ConnectDesk brings the help you need right to your doorstep! Stroll in, sit down, and select the department you’d like to talk to using the options on the screen. You can even scan, sign, and send documents back and forth with the staff member you’re talking to! It’s easy to use AND easily accessible during business hours!
