Premature birth is the #1 cause of newborn death and the biggest threat to babies' health today. Through March for Babies, the March of Dimes is funding important research to find out why premature birth happens and what can be done to prevent it. There is nothing more important than to give every baby a healthy start in life. During the months of August through October, we will host several fundraising events to help in the fight for babies.

BABY FEET: $1 paper cutouts with your name included to be displayed at the Credit Union branch.
BUTTERFLIES: $10 each. The butterflies will be decorated and displayed in a "butterfly garden" at the March for Babies on November 13th. They come in the following colors:
Honor a healthy baby with a PINK or BLUE butterfly. Honor a baby born prematurely with a PURPLE butterfly, or a baby born with a birth defect with a YELLOWbutterfly. You can also remember those special babies that are no longer with us with a WHITE butterfly.
PROMOTE YOUR COMPANY! HONOR YOUR CHILD OR GRANDCHILD!: Business signs to be displayed at the March for Babies on November 13th. The items available include:
$250 March for Babies Banner - Printed with your company/organization's or loved one's name
$100 Mile Marker - Brightly colored mile marker with organization's or loved one's name to show the distance walked and show your support
$50 Mission Sign - Sign printed with organization's or loved one'sname that is placed along the walk route which educates our walkers on the March of Dimes Mission

GOURMET LOLLIPOPS: For just $1, you can help us "lick" birth defects. Available in a variety of fun flavors, these pops are available at all branch locations.
CHICKEN BOG/BBQ : Friday, October 8th from 11am-2pm at the SPC main office. Catered by Steve & Donna's Place. Plates include Chicken Bog, BBQ, slaw and bread. Tickets will be available soon!
